Little Giant Recalls 3.6 Million Ladders; Gourmia, Bose and Baby Brezza Recalls Too

The CPSC announced recalls Nov. 5 of about 3.66 million Little Giant ladders, Gourmia air fryer ovens, Bose S1 Pro battery packs and Baby Brezza sterilizer dryers. Here’s how to check yours.

Brown A-frame ladder standing in front of a wall

If you have a Little Giant ladder in the garage, a Gourmia air fryer oven on the counter or a Bose portable speaker you take to parties and practices, it is worth a quick check today. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a new batch of recalls on Thursday, Nov. 5, led by about 3.66 million Little Giant ladders, one of the largest ladder recalls on record.

With holiday decorating and cooking ahead, here is what was recalled and how to check yours.

Little Giant ladders with Rapid Locks: about 3.66 million

According to the CPSC, the ladders can suddenly retract if their Rapid Locks are not fully engaged, creating a fall hazard. Little Giant Ladder Systems of Springville, Utah, has received 25 reports of ladders retracting, including 19 injuries, three of them head injuries such as skull fracture and traumatic brain injury. There were also 39 reports of the locks not working properly.

  • Models: Adjustable Fortress 2.0, Conquest 2.0, Dark Horse 2.0, Epic, King Kombo XT, Leveler, MegaLite, MegaLite+, Multi, Quantum and Vector. The brand and model name are on the side of the ladder.
  • How to check: The Rapid Locks are black or orange and sit on each leg. Ladders that have an orange rectangular “QC” sticker on the rail above a Rapid Lock are not included.
  • Sold: Lowe’s, Costco and other stores, plus Amazon, LittleGiantLadders.com and other sites, from December 2015 through October 2026, for about $100 to $1,000.
  • What to do: Stop using the ladder until you review the recall information and request a free repair kit with warning labels and instructions. If a lock still fails after lubrication, contact the company for evaluation; a replacement or refund may be offered. Call 866-201-9069 or visit littlegiantladders.com and click RECALLS.

Gourmia 9-Slice Digital Air Fryer Ovens: about 175,951

The CPSC says the spring-loaded glass French doors on these stainless steel ovens can close unexpectedly when bumped, burning hands or wrists while someone reaches for hot food. Gourmia has received 57 reports of doors closing unexpectedly, resulting in 40 burn incidents.

  • How to check: Model GTF7530, UPC 810002862779 on the packaging; the back label shows the model number and date codes from 3021 to 0126.
  • Sold: Target stores and Target.com, October 2021 through June 2026, for about $150.
  • What to do: Stop using the oven and contact Gourmia for a free repair kit that adds a doorstop: 888-834-0092 or gourmia.com/recall.asp.

Bose S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ battery packs: about 634,759

These lithium-ion battery packs, sold with Bose’s S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ portable Bluetooth speaker systems and separately as replacements, can overheat and ignite. Bose has received seven reports of packs melting, smoking or catching fire, six with property damage. No injuries have been reported.

  • How to check: Look at the 17-digit serial number on the bottom of the pack. Recalled packs begin with 083723, 078352, 084105, 078591, 078592, 084106 or 086409.
  • What to do: Remove the pack and stop using it; the speaker still works plugged into AC power. Register at support.bose.com/s1-battery-recall for a free replacement.
  • Disposal: Do not put recalled packs in the trash, curbside recycling or store battery drop-off bins. Check with your local household hazardous waste center first.

Baby Brezza SuperFast Sterilizer Dryers: about 29,000

Parents of infants should check this one. The countertop units, which sterilize and dry bottles and breast pump parts, can overheat while plugged in and operating, the CPSC says. The company has received 32 reports of overheating or melting plastic housing, with no injuries reported. Affected model numbers are BRZ0083, BRZ0154 and BRZ0156, printed on the bottom label. They were sold at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, babybrezza.com, Target.com and Babylist.com from January 2024 through October 2026 for $160 to $180. Stop using the dryer and register with Baby Brezza for a free replacement (888-527-9824); the process requires cutting the power cord and emailing photos.

Other recalls in Thursday’s batch

The CPSC also listed recalls of Arlopu slide playsets (head and neck entrapment), Kikea Store X-VESOLJE nursing pillows (suffocation), Magnetopia magnetic building cubes (magnet ingestion), Jiastfeng HAUOMS eight-drawer dressers (tip-over), Vevor BMX bicycles, U.S. Titan X-Pro youth ATVs, Vanderhall Brawley electric off-road vehicles and C.A.M.P. mountain ice axes. It also warned consumers to stop using Fire Blaze lighters and HAIARA power banks.

That follows other recent alerts we have covered, including space heater, French press and nursing pillow recalls and the Once Upon a Farm toddler bar recall.

Why it matters for families

Ladders, kitchen appliances and rechargeable batteries are everyday items, and the coming weeks bring more of all three into use. A five-minute check of model and serial numbers could prevent a fall, a burn or a fire. If you gave any of these as gifts, let the recipient know.

You can sign up for recall emails and report problems at CPSC.gov or by calling the CPSC hotline at 800-638-2772. Upstormed News will keep tracking recalls that affect families.
